| Colorado Thoroughbred Rescue is run completely by volunteers. 100% of donations are used for the care of the horses. Colorado TB Rescue is a no-kill rescue. All the horses you see pictured would have their lives ended through the horrible ending of driving a day (or more) in a overcrowded trailer, with out food or water, only to die at a slaughter house. These horses are extremely grateful for a second chance at life. Most horses acquired by Colorado TB Rescue have had previous riding training and were well cared, and wanted, for at one point in their life. All of these kind horses have fallen through the cracks, and wound up at an auction where they would have been purchased by the killer buyer, if the rescue did not purchase the horse to save their life. It is strictly due to the assistance from people like you, that these horses are alive and safe today. |
